The Fight of The Century
New York, March 8, 1971. At the peak of his career, Joe Frazier faces off against Muhammad Ali at Madison Square Garden for the WBA & WBC World Heavyweight Championship title. A follower of Martin Luther King, Frazier stands in stark contrast to Cassius Clay, renamed Muhammad Ali by Elijah Muhammad, the leader of the Black nationalist movement Nation of Islam. Their clash becomes a lightning rod for all the tensions and civil rights struggles shaking the nation. The match would go down as the Fight of the Century. This biography reclaims the legacy of Joe Frazier, a great champion guided by humanist values.
