Iruene
Alex, a young advertising executive from Paris, is awakened every night by terrible nightmares. Transported to La Palma, in the Canary Islands, he becomes Bencomo, a young warrior of the Guanche people during the onslaught of the Spanish conquistadors. His people are counting on him—but can he really change the past? Alex is a regular on the Paris party scene, perfectly at ease in his time. Yet for months, his life has been falling apart. Every time he falls asleep, he’s haunted by dreadful nightmares in which he’s chased by a demon through a landscape of sea and mountains. Growing increasingly isolated, unable to work or think about anything but these terrifying visions, he teeters on the edge of madness, and no doctor seems able to help him. By analyzing his dreams, he manages to pinpoint the real-world location of his nightmares: La Palma, a volcanic island in the Canaries.
