Furies
Freshly graduated from the Pankow Program, young Nahia is assigned to a Furies squad — an elite unit created to uphold order and justice within the System. Ready to embrace her role as an enforcer to the fullest, Nahia soon finds herself held back by an unexpected obstacle she hadn’t anticipated: the human factor. The theory she learned in the Program never prepared her for the reality of the field — the “deviants” she hunts down and punishes without mercy are, after all, human beings like her. This momentary weakness earns her a brief stay in reconditioning. In the camp where she’s detained, Nahia meets Rain, a middle-aged woman whose job is to re-educate those who have failed. Despite their differences, a bond forms between them. Feeling she can finally trust her, Nahia confides in Rain that she’s been receiving strange messages — messages that challenge the very foundation of the System, built on three core pillars: Unity, Solidarity, Ideal. Could these anonymous messages be coming from Paradox, the anarchist network that seeks to recruit from within the ranks of the Furies themselves?
